NWS maintains a temperature-controlled, secure, and monitored storage facility that meets and exceeds the requirements of NQA-1 Subpart 2.2 and ANSI N45.2.2 Level B. Additionally, we maintain a Radioactive Materials License, administered by South Carolina DHEC, in agreement with the US NRC.

Storage at Our Facility
NWS maintains a Radioactive Materials License, administered by South Carolina DHEC, in agreement with the US NRC. We also offer QA controlled parts storage at our facility which serves as a customer off-site storage facility for parts inventory associated with customer valves. An NWS Job Coordinator will work with the station to plan for required and potential part needs. Having the parts on-hand at NWS minimizes wait times during the repair evolution.

Maintaining valves and spare components at NWS Warehouse saves our customers time. Keeping the valves in a ready-to-certify status at NWS can greatly reduce turnaround time should an emergent need arise.
Storing the valves at NWS saves our customers money. With the valves already at NWS, shipping costs back and forth from the station to NWS are reduced. Additionally, storing valves and material at NWS frees up valuable warehouse space at the station.
